MIGUEL ÂNGELO
Born in Mozambique but moved to Portugal right after, his passion for photography started early in perceive an artistic vibe that he ever had. He studied in Ar.Co, an independent Portuguese art school.
Lisbon 2004, completed the Advanced Photography degree in Ar.co (Visual Communication Art Center).
In 2005 he started working in the fashion industry and also advertise. Since then, Miguel Ângelo has become an established name within the Portuguese industry with an impressive clients' list, shooting for such publications as Elle, Vogue, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, Men's Health, Women's Health, and many more. He has also become a firm favourite with celebrities, and has shot Portuguese stars such as Cláudia Vieira, Rita Pereira, Daniela Ruah, Catarina Furtado and Victoria Guerra...
In 2014, the photographer lived in India, where he worked for the publications Harper's Bazaar Bride, Harper's Bazaar, Verve and GQ. This was the start of an international career, followed by a representation in Barcelona by the agency Magna, in Spain.
In 2017, Miguel Ângelo had his first solo exhibition: CRU, at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações and in 2019, a major exhibition called RAW.SPECTIVE at Centro Cultural de Cascais. A black and white concept without retouching. All proceeds from his exhibitions are donated to a charity work.
